Assemblyman Charles D. Lavine (Democrat, 13th District) is very honored to have received the endorsement of the Fighting for Children PAC.
Fighting for Children is a strong presence that has been working for the passage of the Child Victims Act, a law that will protect the sexual exploitation and victimization of our children by finally allowing sex abuse victims to seek justice as adults.
While this bill recently passed the Assembly by an overwhelmingly bipartisan margin of 124 –9, there remain grave doubts as to whether it will ever be voted on in the State Senate.
“Justice demands that the victims, so long ignored, have their day in court,” notes Lavine: “The longer they are denied justice, the greater the likelihood that the predators who committed these monstrous crimes will continue to victimize our children. It is time for justice!”
